The Function began at MLBY — a private boutique residence in Houston created for intentional hospitality, meaningful gatherings, and experiences that bring people together.
As new Volumes find their way into new rooms and new cities, MLBY will always be where the story began.

Who created The Function @ MLBY?
The Function @ MLBY is an original experience created and produced by Allec Co. Creative, an experiential production studio specializing in meaningful gatherings, creative experiences, and stories that bring people together.
It is presented by BeautiFire, a nonprofit dedicated to cultivating spaces where people can encounter Christ, grow in community, and experience meaningful transformation.
Together, they created The Function to celebrate Christian music and culture through thoughtfully curated gatherings.

Is this a concert?
No. The Function isn’t a concert or a live performance.
It’s a curated listening and community experience where great music sets the atmosphere for conversation, discovery, and connection.
Some Volumes may feature live performances, but music discovery is always at the center.
Is there a cost to attend?
There’s a $35 reservation fee, charged only after your request is approved and you choose to accept. It’s what holds your spot — nothing is charged just for requesting.
Why isn’t the address public?
Many Volumes take place in intimate or private spaces.
To respect our hosts, neighbors, and guests, the exact address is shared only with confirmed attendees.
